The Spanish Springs Trailblazers 4-H club rostered almost 50 members in the 2006/2007 4-H
year! We participated in several educational clinics, both mounted and unmounted, fun horse
shows, novice horse shows and qualifying horse shows, a trail ride and judging contest. Several
members participated in the Nevada State Fair and a few qualified to go on to the Nevada State
Expo in Douglas County.

We hosted our very own Play Day Show at the Bridle Path Arena where parents and members
played games with their horses and competed for fun prizes. Later in the summer many
attended an educational and fun field trip to the Comstock Large Animal Hospital where we
learned more about colic in horses. A fun picnic at Bower's Mansion in Washoe Valley and a stop
at the Chocolate Factory finished up the day.

Community Service projects for the year included painting the curbs in the Bridle Path
neighborhood, followed up with a pizza/pool party!
