| Hobbes 11/22/1992 ~ 2/25/2009 We lost our beloved Hobbes, a trusted and loyal friend, on the night of February 25, 2009. He and Cisco snuck out of their corral after dinner, and went for his last run . He was tragically struck by a car and entered into horse heaven shortly after. We were blessed to have found Hobbes 2 1/2 years ago and he found a place in our family immediately. He and Cisco bonded quickly and became the best of buddies. Hobbes was the most kind-hearted, smart, forgiving gentleman and always showed the utmost respect to anyone he met. He served as Courtney's 4-H horse for the past two years and earned numerous ribbons, including several Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion placings. He and Courtney's favorite events were Reining, Pole Bending, Barrel Racing and Trail. On his off-time from 4-H, he was the family horse that anyone could ride. He has taken many of us on miles of trails and loved every bit of it. His favorite past time was grazing on the lawn with his best friend, Cisco. Hobbes will be greatly missed. Thank you to all who have prayed for us and grieved with us through this most difficult time. We appreciate the support and love you've shown us.
